Hey Beautiful!

I stumbled on an amazing blog post the other day about Mindful Eating that included a Mindfulness Meditation created by Jon Kabat-Zinn.

I felt so inspired I recorded a video for you demonstrating mindful eating with a grape tomato!

Mindful Eating is SUCH an important part of Eating Disorder Healing and feeling Happy In Our Bodies because it helps us to get into the moment with our food and let go of the residual “stuff” that attaches to it (like anxiety, stress, triggers, etc).

Cultivating this practice can bring about truly incredible results, and show you a sense of your own power in the moment, instead of feeling like your eating disorder is ruling your meal (or day).

Don’t have an eating disorder but dislike like your body? Mindful Eating can help.

Even if you don’t suffer from an eating disorder, but have negative body image issues or disordered thinking around food, Mindful Eating can help you change your relationship with food for the better.

Start by choosing a meal to be mindful with and turn off all distractions. You will want to begin your meal silently, really tasting and savoring the flavor and texture of your food. Pausing between bites will help you to tap into your hunger and fullness cues.

Eating mindfully will help you radically transform your relationship with food and your body, allowing you to feel happy and free.
